Btw, I like that we brought up Maeve and Tim, because I think having older students is good. So we have fourth and seventh years, but what about younger siblings in first, second, or third year and older siblings in fifth and sixth? I think the rebellion should involve a whole host of students wanting change.

OMG BIG THREE YES I APPROVE.
Oh and Valen and Joseph should totally bond over their mutual dislike of Quidditch. It would be interesting if someone brought up Quidditch on the train and Valen was like "ew quidditch" and then Jo was like "omg ikr quidditch ew i hate heights so much." But Valen says something unintentionally snooty about how Quidditch lacks all intellectual appeal and is stupid because of this or that reason, and Jo is like "WHOA NO BITCH NO INTELLECTUALS IN MY COMPARTMENT NO BITCH NAW."
So that way we could finally get some Jo vs. Valen drama.

Siblings are a good idea, but we've kind of already established everyone's families. Kirsten has the three sisters, Valen is an only child, Joseph is muggleborn, so his sister isn't likely to be a witch, and Tim's brother is only eight.
What we CAN do is make a list of a handful of students in each house, and instead of writing long complex bios for each one, we can just put basic information. And they can all be RPable by everyone. This way we have a realistic amount of students, but only a handful of "Main Characters." I think we should keep the students we have now and leave it at that as far as major students go. We each have three students (Kirsten has the sisters, Arctura has Valen, Maeve and Seorsie, and I'm making a Hufflepuff girl as my third). I think that's pretty good. They can be the "gang" that we focus on.
If you feel like making complex characters, I'd start working on some adults. Maybe some minions for Leydenfrost or the Ministry.

Yup. Loving all of the ideas. After the Selkirk sisters, I'll do another professor, and then I'll have in total 5 characters of my own. I might do some side characters with basic bios as you suggested.
