I first saw him and thought "Al Pacino!" Anyway, he looks great! I'm glad they chose an older guy.

Lol do you think I should take this newsflash down? Did you see the live announcement on BBC or did you just hear about it afterwards? I love Peter Capaldi, because he was great in the BBC political drama called the Thick of It. Check out this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOiW4R2uNTsAnd yes, I think he'll make a snarky, dark doctor. he's very reminiscent of the 9th doctor, Christopher Eccleston. I really hope they let him keep his Scottish accent! |

And because he's older and the companion is so young (Clara is like 20-something), the show will be more focused on the plot than romance (well, more so than usual). I think you should start with the 12th doctor, so basically next year's season.
